[Bug 912758] [NEW] "Select contacts" dialog is broken in Precise

 

Public bug reported:

The "Select contacts" dialog is broken in Precise. It comes up with a
spurious "<?>" entry already selected, and adding a new contact won't
get it displayed in the To field in the email itself. See screenshots.

Steps to reproduce:
1- Click New Mail Message
2- Click the "To:" button
