Message #63230
[Bug 912933] [NEW] Keyboard shortcuts assigned to 'Delete (keypad)' do nothing when the key is pressed.
Public bug reported:
After upgrading from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10, my "Launch web browser"
keyboard shortcut stopped working.
System Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Launchers -> Launch web
browser faithfully displays "Delete (keypad)" (though I think it
displayed "KP_Delete" before the upgrade), and I am able to reassign it
without error. Despite this apparent recognition of the configuration I
have been using for years (my keyboard is *physically* labeled with this
shortcut), pressing the delete key on my keypad still does not cause my
web browser to launch.
