[Bug 913356] [NEW] Crashes X server when showing Firefox bookmarks menu

Public bug reported:

I use KDE 4.7.4 with the global menu Plasma applet.

I was using Firefox. I opened the global menu. I hovered over the
Bookmarks menu. After a moment, instead of displaying the menu, X
crashed, taking everything with it, returning me to the KDM login
screen.

This is really bad. All I have to do is accidentally hover over the
bookmarks menu and X instantly crashes, taking my entire X session down
with it. This is a major data-loss bug.

Perhaps it is caused by the size of the bookmarks menu. Although I
don't really use it anymore, since I use tags and the "awesome bar"
instead, it has 1,986 items in it at the moment--sometimes the default
in Firefox sticks new bookmarks in there without asking. (On my other
system I moved all the items out of the menu into Unsorted, but good ol'
Firefox Sync doesn't move bookmarks when you move them.) As a
workaround I will try moving all the items out of there--but this still
should not crash X and everything else.

Here are what appear to be the relevant lines from ~/.xsession-errors:
