Message #67043
[Bug 918033] [NEW] Banshee lists lists pieces of music which it cannot play
Public bug reported:
When I open the Banshee program it lists pieces of music which it cannot play. It cannot play them because the partition which contains the music is not mounted. Banshee simply displays contents of its internal database without checking if Banshee can play these pieces of music. The user is perplexed that the name of a piece of music is displyed but Banshee cannot play it. He has to to call the Track Editor > File Size: and look for "-1" to find that the music partition is not mounted.
I expect that Banshee only shows the names of pieces of music which it actually can play by pressing the butten »Play current element«. Furthermore I'd appreciate if Banshee made suggestions as to what could cause that pressing the button »Play current element« will be futile.
