[Bug 921326] [NEW] Lightdm upgrade failure

Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 1
Lightdm Version 1.1.1-0Ubuntu3
I expected to have Lightdm inherit all of its new features upon upgrade.
It was only given a new set of .configuration files, no new features included.

While upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04, lightdm was upgraded. Only, it
wasn't given the new language applet in the top transparent panel, and
it was also not given the user switch backround feature.

** Affects: lightdm (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
