this still happens with 12.04...

Bug description:
when I lock my screen using the applet on the top-right corner the
screen becomes black but the LCD backlight remains ON, so the screen
keeps on wasting power, the backlight correctly decrease when I don't
use the laptop for a while.
My laptop is an HP Pavilion dv8211eu (dv8000)
I haven't ever touched my xorg.conf file
