Thank you for your bug report, that's not a bug in nautilus though,
rather lower in the stack or hardware, Martin should know better

  SD card reader can't be remounted without a reboot

Status in “udisks” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I've an internal SD card reader connected via an on-board usb port.
  If I insert an SD card into the reader, it mounts the card and permits
  read/write as expected.  However, after I 'safely remove' the SD card,
  the system will not recognize the drive (which probably makes sense in
  the absence of a card).  More importantly, it will not remount the SD
  card if I reinsert it into the reader, unless I reboot the system
  first.  How can I remove a card and later remount it (or mount a
  different SD card) w/o having to reboot?

  I'm running 11.10 64bit; kernel 3.0.0-14-generic; and gnome 3.2.1.
