[Bug 751073] Re: resizing in compiz doesn't show the terminal size

I noticed in ubuntu 14.04 LTS that there is no resize info in ccsm and
the gconftool command does not enable display of screen geometry on
resize.

Is resizeinfo supported for 14.04?

Title:
resizing in compiz doesn't show the terminal size

Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Resizing in metacity does show the size of the terminal in a small
window, and the values change while resizing, but not in compiz. There
you get no window like with metacity.

  WORKAROUND:

The problem is that Ubuntu 11.x does not have the "resizeinfo" compiz
plugin enabled by default. You can turn it on with a simple:

  gconftool -s /apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins -t
  list --list-type=string
  '[core,bailer,detection,composite,opengl,compiztoolbox,decor,vpswitch,place,imgpng,regex,unitymtgrabhandles,grid,session,gnomecompat,snap,mousepoll,resize,move,animation,expo,ezoom,workarounds,wall,staticswitcher,fade,scale,unityshell,resizeinfo]'

Or by enabling it in ccsm if you have that installed.
