[Bug 1373776] [NEW] internal panel brightness set to 0 when switching back to internal-only mode

Public bug reported:

[Impact]

the brightness of the internal panel can get set to the lowest value
when going through the display modes and back to internal-only mode

this is fixed in a later upstream release, but that can't be backported
so a distro patch is needed

[Test case]

use the laptop hotkey to switch between modes until you get a blank
internal panel

[Regression potential]

slim, the patch is simple enough

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
