[Bug 1375404] [NEW] Function keys are not working on intel graphics

Public bug reported:

I am ubuntu user eversince, Ubuntu 12.10 came. I have been using a machine with intel graphics i.e. Intel HD 3000.
There are no issues but functions keys don't work for broghtness also one can't change it simple.
>From the past, I have tried Ubuntu/Lubuntu 13.04/13.10/14.04 now but this is not seemed to be resolved in coming distribution so I am submitting it as a bug to ubuntu.
There is a pretty good workaround for this problem on wiki.ubuntu.com in section kernel LCD backlight debugging section.
But I would love if I see solved problem in coming future distributions as many people are affected due to graphics issue of intel with Ubuntu.
Thank you in advance.
