Message #74828
[Bug 1379056] [NEW] octave run interactively freezes when you change directory
Public bug reported:
When you run octave-mode then run-octave and try to change the directory
it gives this error and freezes: "No such directory found via CDPATH
environment variable".
When I googled it it was funny, but posts back to 2006 complained about
the same thing, some people speculating in a problem with the file
octace-inf.el. I tried a couple of patches but was not able to get
anything to work.
Anyway, the octave-mode seems broken, and it should be fixed or left
out, methinks. The interaction with the shell is kind of cruicial to
its operation.
Thanks for looking at this.
