Bug description:
I'm getting very poor results when printing photographs on my Epson
Stylus Photo R1800 - low saturation and unsharp images - since
  upgrading from 10.04 to 12.04.

When trying to resolve this using Printing=>Printer Properties=>Make
and Model=>Change, I get an error messsage which tells me this actions
is "Not supported by this backend", and advising me to report it as a
  bug - I've attached a screenshot.

  cups:
    Installed: 1.5.3-0ubuntu4
