  Printing on HP1022 printer is slow and somtimes corrupt

Bug description:

  I upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04 and printing to my HP 1022 is
  very slow now and the printout is not always correct (strange
  characters). I installed the recommended HP plugin using the  "hp-
  plugin-ubuntu" tool.
