Message #76171
[Bug 1381596] [NEW] Firefox misbehaves to open mailto URIs
Public bug reported:
==== How to reproduce.
1. Define firefox as default email client (I uninstalled kmail, so now I have "firefox %u") in Settings-->Preferred applications-->Email)
2. Open a webpage with a "mailto" link. I used
http://software.schmorp.de/pkg/libeio.html (see at the bottom).
3. Click on a "mailto" link.
==== Current behaviour.
Firefox quickly opens tens of new empty tabs. I needed to open a local VTY (CTRL-ALT-F1) to run "killall -9 firefox" as killing the application on the "X" button was not working.
==== Expected behaviour.
I have no idea. But the above behaviour is not the one we need.
I would like to have my GMail webpage opened to compose a message to the intended recipient.
