[Bug 1376468] Re: Totem crashes attempting to play wmv file
I had this exact problem, all wmv files would crash in totem and vlc. I
also had ffmpeg installed via jon-severinsson/ffmpeg. purging this and
then updating to the official packages fixed the problem for me.

Bug description:
Totem segfaults when I attempt to open a wmv file.
The same when Totem serves as video playback plugin in Firefox.
I believe that this is some kind of dependency problem, because I have 2 additional Trusty machines, that do not experience the same problems.
