Message #80766
[Bug 1390619] [NEW] Can't add launcher icon for git gui
Public bug reported:
This is a usability issue in 2 parts:
1. I would like to add a Launcher icon for git-gui, however when I use
the 'Lock to Launcher' option and close the GUI, the launcher icon
disappears.
2. There is no easy way to create a custom launcher icon
(Creating a .desktop file in a non-obvious location is not an easy way! Not least because I have no idea what icon to use, and the default icon is uuuugly!)
I'm assuming my system info is filed with this bug via apport, but just
in case, I am on Ubuntu 14.04 (Unity 7)
