[Bug 1393279] Re: Unable to scan with HP Laserjet 1220

 

Before Trusty I was on the 12.04 LTS Precise release and it had no
problems scanning.  I did not try with any of the Q, R or S releases.

  Unable to scan with HP Laserjet 1220

Status in “sane-backends” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I am unable to scan in xsane and other scanning programs such as:
  sudo scanimage
  scanimage: open of device hpaio:/usb/HP_LaserJet_1220?serial=00XXXXXXXXXX failed: Invalid argument

  Switching from a USB 3 to USB2 port fixed my problem one time only.
