[Bug 1398665] [NEW] [MDR-XB950BT, playback] No sound at all (Bluetooth headset)

Public bug reported:

I am unable to get sound to play through my Bluetooth headset. For the
first few seconds, the headset plays a random series of tones. After
that, it remains silent. When it is set as the audio output, any
application that tries to play sound freezes or crashes (including the
built-in audio test option).
