Title:
  sporadic loss of submenus

Status in network-manager-applet package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in network-manager-applet source package in Saucy:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
I do have the openvpn package installed too

No sure it is the cause, but I notice it since I need to access the
submenus which disappear from time to time. Haven't tracked it down
and is the reason I took as long as I have to log the bug.

I'm attaching two screenshots that display the problem.
