[Bug 1393377] Re: Deleted text appears again after switching layouts
It's unlikely that both gnome-shell and unity contain the cause of the
bug. Probably is gtk? Can you test with a qt application?
** Also affects: gtk (Ubuntu)

Bug description:
Deleted text appears again after switching layouts. Since Ubuntu 13.10
this bug affects me when typing personal message on vk.com. I
bugreporting to vk.com support, but they not confirmed this bug on
their side. They talked to me that this bug appears since new keyboard
indicator was introduces in 13.10.
How to produce:
1. For example, I typed text on wrong layout.
2. Select the typed text with Shift+Home.
3. Deletes the selected text by pressing Del.
4. Immediately switch the layout with Shift+Ctrl (also I tried to use Super+Spacebar)
5. At this step the deleted text is appears.
If at step 4 switch the layout after a second or two, then the text is
not appears.
I use Ubuntu 14.10 64-bit + Firefox 33 or Chromium 38.0.2125.111
P.S. There are other problems, such as the editing window of
translation closes at the moment switching the layout.
