[Bug 1402454] [NEW] Black window in middle of screen after log in. (related to DisplayLink adapter)

Public bug reported:

My computer has Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bits).
After I log in in the (default) desktop, I see a window (completely black) in the middle of the screen.

The black window has no title and anything in it. (like an empty
terminal)

I identified the process related to that window by using a terminal
console and using: xprop | grep WM_CLASS

The output was:
$ xprop | grep WM_CLASS
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "unity-settings-daemon", "Unity-settings-daemon"

So the black window is related or coming from "unity-settings-daemon".
For now I simply close it and nothing happens.

I think this window is related to my "DisplayLink" USB display adapter.

Any idea why this window appears ?
