[Bug 1403113] [NEW] nvidia-331-uvm 331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4: nvidia-331-uvm kernel module failed to build (possible root cause: failure of gksu in xmonad desktop)

Public bug reported:

This is pretty puzzling to me.

1) I did a backup via clonezilla.

2) rebooted and found graphics glitches after fixing uefi boot problem.

3) attempt to change "Additional Drivers" from nvidia-updates to nvidia.
(falure possibly due to running in xmonad which doesn't play well with
gksu (the box never shows up right and the process frequently dies).

4) reboot a few times, go into unity desktop and attempt to change
drivers there, nothing seems to work. Switched to main server in
"software & updates"

bug report happened somewhere in 4)
