** Attachment removed: "Global workspace theory of consciousness.pdf"
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/594205/+attachment/1660570/+files/Global%20workspace%20theory%20of%20consciousness.pdf

** Attachment removed: "book review.pdf"
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/594205/+attachment/1660586/+files/book%20review.pdf

** Description changed:

- When trying to select a sentence or paragraph from one (of the two)
- column(s) of some PDF files (for instance a scientific paper),
- paragraphs of the other column are selected as well. It is like Document
- Viewer 2.30.1 does not recognize the columns in all PDF-files.
+ 1) lsb_release -rd
+ Description:	Ubuntu Vivid Vervet (development branch)
+ Release:	15.04

- Copying and pasting text from some two-columned PDF files is therefore
- impossible, unless I will after pasting delete all the fragments of the
- other column that came along.
+ 2) apt-cache policy evince
+ evince:
+ Installed: 3.14.1-0ubuntu1
+ Candidate: 3.14.1-0ubuntu1
+ Version table:
+ *** 3.14.1-0ubuntu1 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
+
+ 3) What is expected to happen via
+ https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/594205/+attachment/1499641/+files/Example.pdf
+ is one is able to highlight one column at a time, just like in Adobe
+ Reader.
+
+ 4) What happens instead is it highlights both columns at a time.
+
+ WORKAROUND: Open with Chromium's built-in PDF reader:
+ apt-cache policy chromium-browser
+ chromium-browser:
+ Installed: 39.0.2171.65-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1064
+ Candidate: 39.0.2171.65-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1064
+ Version table:
+ *** 39.0.2171.65-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1064 0
