[Bug 1409675] [NEW] [Dell Latitude E5450, Realtek ALC293] Microphone is being detected as headphone

 

Public bug reported:


External microphone is not working when plugged into the headset(combo) jack, even plugging headset(four rings) into the jack the headset micrphone will not working. 
However built-in (next to webcam) micrphone works perfectly, with above situation.

Step to reproduce:

1. plug the headset or microphone connector into the headset jack on the
side of laptop

Expected result:

Recording voice with plugged/exertnal microphone

Actual result:

Recording only went throug the buil-in microphone.
