Formula refreshes not fast enough after user stops typing in Math

Status in openoffice.org package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: openoffice.org

After the user stops typing in the math formula text box it takes over
1 second to render the updated formula. This is far too long for
  efficient working.

  Suggestion:
Refresh rendered formula faster after user stopped typing (300 ms should be maximum delay!)
