  All GTK3/GNOME3 software I tried (gedit, evince, evolution, ...)
  display the following error message:

  $ gedit

  (gedit:5387): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_error_trap_pop_internal: assertion
  `trap != NULL' failed
