Re: docbook dtd upgrade

 

Hi Lars

As I recall the main thing blocking upgrade from 4.4 earlier was the
availability of a free editor, which as I see Jason has just pointed out,
its no longer free so, so much more that.

Upgrading to 4.5 I can imagine would be very straightforward, but moving to
5.0 would be more challenging.  Perhaps one step at a time?  Being more
current does open up a wider range of choice of editors, though the choice
of free ones is still pretty grim.  Would be interesting to hear what Vex
is like.

Oxygen is still the best, and fine if you have access through university or
what have you, but otherwise very expensive so not well suited for our
community.
