That is interesting observation.

It seems msh.org is using something called DKIM which basically creates a
signature for the message.  Gmail checks if the signature is valid and if
it is then it happily lands in my gmail inbox.

The problem seems to be that when he sends to the list, launchpad/mailman
somehow breaks the signature so it ends up in our spam boxes.

It seems to be a known launchpad problem (see eg
https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/1589693).  The bug is marked as
new/unassigned and affecting 3 users.  Maybe a good idea that everyone on
this list (and maybe everyone at msh!) goes to the link above and click on
"this bug affects me" to raise its attention.
