Public bug reported:

The section "Types of devices and media" is quite confusing to me. At
first, I expect a description of the types of the listed devices and
media, but instead, the descriptions tells me of how I can open such
files with certain applications of my choice.

There could be some initial information on what the list will tell us in
a paragraph, just before the first list item.  Otherwise, the section's
name needs to be changed.
