Re: [Bug 1228459] Re: Item #1 states wrong side for icon

Hi Doug:
I am very sorry for my last comment but it was a Saturday evening and I had had a few rums. The comment "invalid" kind of struck me funny and I reacted thusly.
With all due respect sir, you started emailing me with regard to the issue of the system settings icon etc. etc.....with no mention whatsoever of who you were. I still don't know . . . . .you never said who you were or who you represented. In my opinion, this is not very professional.
I will not make any more contact with the Linux site regarding bugs or improvements but will accept anything that is offered. I downloaded Mint today and was very impressed by the appearance and speed. Continue to have a great weekend sir.

Title:
Item #1 states wrong side for icon

Status in “ubuntu-docs” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
In the description to add a printer, it states to click the system
settings icon on the far right side. The system settings icon is on
the far left side. Perhaps the author was facing the wrong way when he
was in front of the monitor. In my best attempt to follow guidelines,
the release (distro in Linux lingo) of Ubuntu I am using is 13.04. I
have no idea of what version of what package that is being referred to
in step #2. After spending weeks trying to get my Lexmark X2650
printer to work, and combing through reams of troubleshooting, support
and help articles, I finally looked at a video on Youtube and was
indirectly informed that Lexmark printers do not work with Linux.
Finally, I tried a cheap HP D1660 printer and to my utter surprise had
a working printer in less than 2 minutes. The moral......don't even
bother if the printer is not on the list provided
