It only seems to happen on the 32 bit buildbot slave though.

  make runtests -j2 fails for MPI tests/demos

Bug description:
  When I run

    make runtests -j2

  some tests and demos fail when the environment variable
   
    RUN_TESTS_IN_PARALLEL

  is set.
