  interpolate allows interpolation to/from spaces of different value dimensions. This is error prone. Should add check (unless someone considers it to be a feature.)

  from dolfin import *

  mesh = UnitSquare(2, 2)
  V = VectorFunctionSpace(mesh, "CG", 1)
  f = Expression("1.0")
  w = interpolate(f, V)
