Don't know if this is of any interest, but I also recently had to
build pcre from source for SLED11, and ended up a pcre.package file to
Dorsal with this content
NAME=pcre-8.12
SOURCE=ftp://ftp.csx.cam.ac.uk/pub/software/programming/pcre/
PACKING=.tar.gz
BUILDCHAIN=autotools
