Installer name

i Guys

It seems I have hijacked the other thread, hopefully this will now be a
separate thread.

Yeah, environment manager isn't the best name yet. I'm still trying but
can't find a nice short name:
- DevBuntu Environment Customizer
- DevBuntu Environment Installer
- I give up

There's of course another idea coming from our previous threads... that
is that this project could be used for many other applications and not
just development! What if you want to do Multimedia such as creating
music or video editing. What if you are in Engineering and want to do
electronic or architectual design. Education, etc, etc

There are many places where a set of tools that work together are
required. Rather than trying to figure out what is available and test
all the packages you could answer a few questions and the system could
make suggestions for you! Best of all, these suggestions would be based
on the experience of others.

DevBuntu is actually just one such application! So the installer name
should actually not include DevBuntu in its name. E.g.

Custom Environment Manager
Custom Environment Generator
Ubuntu Environment Enhancer
... whatever

It's not critical yet, so let's keep the pot stirring for a while

i should say i was also thinking about 'environment manager' but i
thought that environment is a much larger term and somebody may treat
say gnome or bash settings as part of his environment. what confuses me
is that 'devbuntu' is a name of an os so 'Devbuntu Environment Manager'
should be something that manages every bit of this os. in fact we'll be
only managing one piece of os environment - the development environment.
so maybe we should call it something like 'development environment
manager'? it's 3 a.m. so i'm not so awake to generate something better.
anyway if we won't find another name then 'devbuntu environment manager'
will do.

regards,
jay
