would be sad, if that's really the greatest features, but thanks ;)

your backup chain is really long. and duplicity sometimes has an issue
with closing old filehandles. there were some fixes in the latest
versions, so before trying anything else, please update to the latest
version, which is 0.6.14 on launchpad, the website is out of date here.

if that does not help, the only solution i could think of is raising
ulimit values until your os chokes ... but let's see what the version
change brings.
