[Question #182441]: Backups to Amazon S3 fail (No buffer space available)

New question #182441 on Duplicity:
https://answers.launchpad.net/duplicity/+question/182441

I'm trying to perform backups to an Amazon S3 European Bucket. After some time the TCP send buffer fills completely and the upload of tar volumes fails:

Upload 's3+http://***//duplicity-full.20111219T230002Z.vol7.difftar.gpg' failed (attempt #5, reason: error: [Errno 105] No buffer space available)

I tried several times to backup two distinct (virtual) servers but every backup fails with the error above. In the duplicity man page there is a note that European buckets may be fully accessible only after some minutes. But I waited for some hours and the backup still fails ...

Server configuration:

Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
Linux *** 2.6.18-028stab093.2 #1 SMP Tue Aug 23 16:27:58 MSD 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux
python-boto: 1.9b-1ubuntu3
duplicity: 0.6.08b-0ubuntu2.1
tcpsndbuf (barrier): 6720000
tcpsndbuf (limit): 9408000

How can I fix this?
