Re: [Question #271597]: Fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04.3 - unable to restore - prompt for Encryption password all the time
Question #271597 on Duplicity changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/duplicity/+question/271597
edso posted a new comment:
do i understand correctly that your os was ubuntu 14.04 and is 14.04
again?
1. what's your gpg version now?
2. does it differ from the one used before?
it says
"
===== Begin GnuPG log =====
gpg: uncompressing failed: unknown compress algorithm
gpg: decrypt_message failed: unknown compress algorithm
===== End GnuPG log =====
"
so my guess would be that you used some compression parameters with duplicity before?
3. did you?
> How can it not know what compression algo it used?!!
compression algo's can be in/excluded during compile time. run ' gpg
--version' and send paste the output here.
