[Bug 1216946] [NEW] Window does not refresh after closing tab in fullscreen firefox window

Public bug reported:

I am having intermittent problems closing fullscreen firefox tabs. The
window does not refresh after closing the tab. The result is that the
tab appears it's still open, and the window containing the tab does not
accept input. Putting the window into windowed mode (from fullscreen)
causes the screen to refresh itself.

To reproduce:
1) Open a fullscreen firefox window
2) Open several tabs in the window. Open websites in those tabs (for example multiple launchpad bugs)
3) Close a tab by clicking the 'x' in the tab

Expected results:
The tab closes

Actual results:
The tab does not appear to close. The browser window becomes unresponsive and does not appear to accept any input

The workaround is to un-maximize the window such as by clicking the
'maximize' window decoration or by dragging the window title bar out of
the top panel. After doing this the window redraws, the closed tab is
gone, and the window accepts input again.

This problem is intermittent; I see it on about 5% of the tabs I close.
