Message #00369
[Bug 1217678] Re: cannot launch app from messaging menu anymore
After talking with Nick and Lars we think that this might get fixed in
the transition of the messaging menu to unity menu model, which is
expected to land pretty soon. We're going to let that land, and then
revisit this bug.

Status in “indicator-messages” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Status in “unity8” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
touch image 082713
indicator-messages 13.10.1+13.10.20130822.5-0ubuntu1
You can no longer select the app icon on the right of the menu item in
ubuntu-touch to launch the app. Previously you could select the app
icon and launch the source application
Steps to reproduce:
1) send a text message to the phone or call it and don't answer
2) pull down the messaging menu and click on the icon on the right of the text message/missed call entry
Expected results:
- should launch the source application (phone-app in this case)
Actual results:
- no application is launched
