[Bug 1221971] [NEW] Webapps won't install (Firefox)

Public bug reported:

I go to a webapp-able site (say Launchpad.net), Firefox presents me the
installation dialog. When I click "Install" nothing happens, I wait but
the webapp icon won't appear on the Launcher (nor within the Dash). The
.desktop file won't appear on `/home/user/.local/share/applications`
either.

After I launched Firefox from the terminal and tried installing a webapp
I get:

    (firefox:2363): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_variant_get_uint64: assertion
'g_variant_is_of_type (value, G_VARIANT_TYPE_UINT64)' failed

    (firefox:2363): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_variant_get_uint64: assertion

(I am not sure if this is a unity-webapps-service bug or if the bug
resides in the individual webapps. I have tried with gmail, launchpad,
twitter.)
