[Bug 1158291] Re: 13.04 unity is impossibly slow on Eee PC. Was fine under 12.04

Same problem here with 13.10 beta and 13.04.
Graphics rendered with llvmpipe on Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU Z520 are too slow, the OS is unusable.

System name is Packard Bell ZA3.

Title:
13.04 unity is impossibly slow on Eee PC. Was fine under 12.04

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I'm attaching a video to show the performance under 13.04 on my
netbook. It's practically unusable under these (essentially default)
unity settings. It was fine (in that regard) under 12.04.
