[Bug 529485] Re: Clicking on an application name should hide it if currently in focus

Thank you for your suggestion. Having the same action triggering
diffirent results, depending on the context, would be counter-intuitive
though. Setting the bug as Wontfix, that's not a change we plan to
include. Feel free to suggest other changes in the futur though

** Changed in: indicator-messages (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix

** No longer affects: ayatana-ubuntu

Title:
Clicking on an application name should hide it if currently in focus

Status in “indicator-messages” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: indicator-messages

  Launchpad Question #102229

  https://answers.launchpad.net/indicator-applet/+question/102229

seems to have been overlooked, but raises an important issue.
If a messaging application is currently on focus, its entry on the
messaging menu becomes "dead", with no purpose. It would be
interesting if clicking on the item could hide the application, as
this is expected behavior (the tray icons for Empathy and
Gwibber did that before the Messaging Menu was introduced).
