[Bug 1116280] Re: sound menu should properly handle play/pause/next/previous when multiple audio players are running
Strange. I think it's only possible for one application to grab media
keys. Assigning this to gnome-settings-daemon, which handles media keys.
** Package changed: indicator-sound (Ubuntu) => gnome-settings-daemon
(Ubuntu)

Title:
sound menu should properly handle play/pause/next/previous when
multiple audio players are running
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
This might not be an issue in `indicator-sound` but rather in how
ubuntu handles mediakeys, if so please change the package accordingly.
The issue is the following, I often have two audio applications open
at the same time: clementine for my local music, nuvola player for
grooveshark. Since I am not a good dj I have only one of them playing
music, but now some funny things happen if you press the multimedia
keys:
- play/pause: pauses the one that is playing BUT starts playing on the
one that is paused, so it toggles your audioplayers. I think desired
behaviour should be that all are paused, or if both are already
paused, the one that is paused last should start playing again.
-previous: both start playing the previous song, EVEN the one that was
paused, so two songs are now playing at the same time. The desired
behavior is that only the one currently playing should play the
previous song.
