affected machine:  HP ZBook 15

Issue:  I can not switch between tabs using Ctrl PgUp  or Ctrl PgDown.
This concerns both the Terminal and Google Chrome. No matter if the
NumLock is on or off. Interestingly, switching between tabs in Firefox
works.

If I attach an external USB keyboard then the keyboard strokes work fine
also in Terminal and Google Chrome.
