[Bug 1220717] Re: Disable Applications / Dash plugins, can't re-enable
Just answered my own question:
DConf-editor>com>unity>lenses>disabled scopes - just highlight them all,
backspace, leave the entry reading [ ]
Reboot, done.

Swipe to the Applications scope.
Click applications scope
Click disable
Click dash plugins
Click disable
Now you can't re-enable them. We shouldn't provide a method to get
someone backed into a corner like this.
