[Bug 1313840] [NEW] Screen lock causes texture corruption in 14.04

Public bug reported:

In 13.10 and previous releases, locking the screen would go to the login
screen, and then blank the screen and put the display to sleep. In
14.04, it goes to the login screen, then fades to black, but after that
the screen is replaced with what looks like a corrupted texture buffer
of the login screen, with alternating black and corrupted chunks in the
framebuffer, and then the screen never goes to sleep, it just stays like
that.

I can't adequately capture a screenshot since, of course, it's at the
login screen. Hopefully this is replicable on other systems using the
NVidia 331 binary drivers.
