[Bug 1322867] [NEW] Calendar widget lets you select a date for no use at all, and it even remembers it

Public bug reported:

- Click on the clock at the top-right of the screen to unfold the calendar
- Navigate through the calendar (i.e. browse months and years) and
- pick a date by clicking in it.

ECPECTED
Any of the following would make sense:
A. Clicking on a date would do nothing. You could not select a date. If you want to change the current date there's a "date/time settings" link
B. After picking a date, a "Save" button would appear, allowing you to change the current date using the one you picked (and obviously a Cancel button too)
C. You could select a date, it would stay highlighted while the widget stays open (as it does now) (that may help you think about schedules while looking at the calendar), BUT when you close the widget the date you picked will be forgotten, and the next time you open the calendar, you will see the current date (the date of today) highlighted, not the one you picked the last time you browsed the calendar

OBSERVED
When you click on a day, it gets highlighted, as if "selected".
If you close the calendar widget and reopen it hours later, the last date you clicked is still highlighted. That's misleading because it looks like that's the current date (until you realise it is not, or until you realise it is inconsistent with the current date shown as text on the top)
