[Bug 1217624] Re: Volume notification doesn't appear after Suspending

13.04 is no longer supported. Is this still a problem on
12.04/14.04/14.10?

Title:
Volume notification doesn't appear after Suspending

Status in Unity:
  Incomplete
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When I boot up Ubuntu 13.04 and Log In, if I use the keyboard shortcut
to adjust the volume (Fn + F10 or F11 or F12 for me), the notification
in the top right area of the screen will appear and display the volume
level as approopriate. But if I Suspend Ubuntu, when I wake it up
again, the volume notification will not appear when I adjust it using
the keyboard shortcut described above. Not only does the notification
not appear, but the volume does not even change.
