Has anyone had success using the E4200 mic port in Jaunty 9.04?  Skype 
and Gizmo are both able to use the built in mic but when I select 
alternate inputs it either records nothing or reports an error with the 
input device.  The port works fine under Windows so it's not a hardware 
problem.

The input devices according to Skype are:

   Default device (default)  -- works
   HDA Intel (hw:Intel,0)  -- works
   HDA Intel (plughw:Intel,0)
   HDA Intel (hw:Intel,3)
   HDA Intel (plughw:Intel,3)
   hdmi
   headset

Gizmo (3.1 v79) only lists two sound systems and different inputs for each:

   OSS
        Default
        HDA Intel

   ALSA
        /dev/dsp
