CPU whining

Hi e4300 users!

Really like my e4300. Use Debian Sid and everything works more or less out
of the box.
Except one thing. Tried to change the processor cstate, because I have this
silent but a bit annoying cpuwhinning sound. But grub2 always says:

Unknown boot option `processor.max_cstate=2': ignoring

sysctl processor.max_cstate=2 doesn't work either:
error: "processor.max_cstate" is an unknown key

I also tried to the cstate=3, the same. Use the P9300 and the standard sid
kernel : 2.6.31-1-686
Found out with google, that propably this cpu is not supported by the
command.

Somebody else have this problem, and solved it in an "easy way"?
Or do I have to recompile a new kernel whith differnet frequency settings?
If yes, do somebody have a good working kernelconfig for that?

By the way, I also always get on every boot:

usb_id[30011]: unable to access
'/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2/2-1.2:1.0/input/input20/mouse3'
usb_id[30012]: unable to access
'/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2/2-1.2:1.0/input/input20/event17'
usb_id[30017]: unable to access
'/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2/2-1.2:1.0/input/input20/event17'

It seems, that it doesn't affect my system( mousepad/trackpoint works
great).

Thx for reading and have nice day!

Greetz, Philipp
